Traumatic experience lasts... I'd been literally thrown out of my bike at relatively high speed at least twice in my younger days, fortunately both ended up with just a few scratches and bruises. But as it says, if it can't break you, it'll make you stronger. Now when I ride from Shatin to Taipo today, for instance, I can keep my hands off the steering bar most of the time (>95%)... Practice plus determination transcend Philosophy, I guess.
What you wanted to write was not about what? :p Actually I was not trying to talk about 'that' either, just that your sharing reminded me of my own experience on the bike.
And the essence of not steering by hands is that one experiences 'being one with the bike' which is super cool and extremely relaxing! Too bad that I don't know how to knit. Kakakakaka....
