Gain or Lose
I don't think I'm suffering from homesickness but I start to feel happy when seeing something 'Hong Kong'. (Don't try to ask: 'Weren't you happy about that before?' This is the type of questions only troublemakers ask) These might be fishballs, Calbee chips, yumcha, movies, news roundup, and even travel book! Sometimes when I am with my Cantonese speaking friends, I have the illusion that I am still in HK!
Tonight I had late night snack with Angela, Julian and Stanley in China Town (where even the waiters speak Cantonese), and it certainly reminds me of our Friday night 'siu-yeah' times. I am pretty amazed about how much has actually happened in HK in the past 2.5 months, and I feel like I have missed something, even though I talk to you guys pretty frequently already.
If I have to say what I lose for deciding to come here, this is certainly one of them...

Alarming Thirteen
As you know, I arrived at Sydney on the 13th. Therefore, whenever it comes to the 13th day of the month, I am extremely conscious of what I have been doing here. January 13 was not so good for me, as I was jobless at that moment. Right, it is dead quiet at the sandwich shop in January and so I don't need to go there this month. **thunderstorm**
But don't worry, now I am working at a shop selling wraps. During job searching this time, I came across some really strange people. I was a bit upset in the beginning but it's okay now. It's just one more thing for laugh. Ask me if you wanna know how strange they are...;)

Please pray for the planning of my trip, as I might want to move to somewhere else in a month or two. Let's see ...
To add some multimedia element to this entry, take a look at this clip which my flatmate showed me yesterday...Enjoy =)

Miniature of Life
Interestingly enough, I seem to lose my zeal in writing when I am here in Sydney. It may also be an indication that I didn't spend much time in reflecting on my life as a whole.
The beginning of January is a very sad period of my journey up till now. Many of my friends left Sydney and continued with their journey. You may ask, "You only know them for several weeks, how sad can it be?" But man, I tell you, it is really sad.
Isn't it just like a miniature of life? People come people go. We are never sure of how long we'll be accompanied. Instead of lamenting upon separation which is unfortunately inevitable, a more practical thing to do is to 把握今日(Seize the day), as the tattoo on a foreigner's shank said.

Don't Miss Me Too Hard
Haha...it's been a while since I last updated my blog. I hope you guys are not missing me too hard. I have been wanting to write about one topic, but let me share some photos first and write that in my next entry.
Obviously, old man and the sea. And this is Kiama, 2.5 hours train ride from the city.

In the picture is the Blowhole. It's like a big fountain. Dont ask me about its formation. It's a geography question.

On our way to watch the New Year Eve fireworks. They are Clemens and Margaretha.
The long-awaited NYE fireworks at Sydney over the Harbour Bridge. We got there after 8 (i.e. very late) so we were pretty lucky to see half of the bridge...
Sand boarding at Anna Bay. Pretty cool, but could be cooler if the slope is steeper.
After 10s of happiness, you probably need double the time to climb up the slope.

Again, Kiama. I like it so much. A very beautiful place.

Ciao~
