Tomorrow I'll be going to Sydney! Wow!
Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. (Luke 12:23)
This is what the pastor shared today. Um...I like this line because it reminded me of something which is more important. When I was packing up things, I always worried about not bringing enough clothes. But as the body is more than clothes, then maybe this doesn't really matter much...
And I also like another story that the pastor told today:
When a little girl saw a bird flying in the sky, she sympathized it a lot and said, "Oh how poor this bird is! It doesn't even have a cage in which it can stay!"
Apparently, the girl said that because the bird would be well fed with food and water if it is kept in the cage. However, thinking it otherwise, the cage also limits the way the bird could experience God's love and provision. For He once said, "Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them." (Luke 12:24)
